This is a few days late, but check out how easy it is to declare for the NBA Draft. Zach Feinstein is a 20-year-old student at Washington University who is 5′8″, 130 pounds and hasn’t played formal basketball since his 3rd grade rec team. But he met all the eligibility requirements, found the paperwork and he’s in.
What’s even better is that Ferris and I had this idea when he was a junior in high school. It was one of those first years where every high schooler with marginal talent was declaring. You know, future superstars like Korleone Young, Jonathan Bender, Leon Smith. So we thought, “why not Jesse Ferris?” A 5′6″ phenom who “boxes out well” and once dropped 21 in an 8th grade game when Chris Mallette was out sick? A sure first rounder.
If we’d only known it was this easy, just think where we’d be now…

Being able to get this kind of insight into the mind of Bob Dylan is almost enough to make me want to subscribe to XM Radio. Scroll down to the quotes for gems like these:
“Willie Nelson’s tour bus runs on cooking oil….I’ve toured with Willie…sometimes late at night you can see us, I’m filling up my tank at the gas station and he’s filling his up at Denny’s.”
“I don’t trust a man who doesn’t tear up a little watching Old Yeller.”
“A giraffe can go a long time without water. But he wants to see a menu right away.”
